Carson Daly (built-in June 22, 1973)[1] is an American television host, radio personality, producer, and boob tube personality. Prior to 2003, Daly was a VJ on MTV'southward Total Request Live,[ii] and a DJ for the Southern California-based radio station 106.7 KROQ-FM. In 2002, Daly joined NBC, where he began hosting and producing the late night talk evidence Last Call with Carson Daly, and occasionally hosting special event programming for NBC, such as the Macy's 4th of July fireworks prove, and executive producing New year's day's Eve with Carson Daly from Times Square starting time in 2003.

Early life [edit]

Daly was born in Santa Monica, California,[1] the son of Coachella Valley TV personality Pattie Daly Caruso (1944-2017), and car salesman Jim "J.D." Daly.[5] [6] [vii] His mother is from Fayetteville, N Carolina.[eight] His father died from bladder cancer when Carson was a child, and his female parent married Richard Caruso (1932-2017).[9] [8]

Daly attended Santa Monica High School and was a fellow member of the school'due south golf game team before graduating in 1991. He attended Loyola Marymount Academy in Los Angeles only dropped out to pursue a pro golf career.[1] He is of Irish descent[10] and has worked with Guinness on local "Proposition 3-17" to make Saint Patrick's 24-hour interval an official holiday.[x] Daly served as an intern to Jimmy Kimmel in radio.[eleven] He began his radio career at College of the Desert and as an intern at the former KCMJ FM (at present KKUU) under the proper name "Kid Carson".[12]

Daly became engaged to Siri Pinter, a food blogger,[27] in 2013.[28] Her father is actor Mark Pinter. The couple married on December 23, 2015[28] and have four children.[29]

Daly is Catholic.[30]
